88 Drive-in Theatre

Welcome back readers! Are you tired of watching movies at home or the monotonous trips to the movies theater? Let me introduce you to something different: The drive-in movies!! Coming from Colombia, this is not a common activity, so I was very excited to have this experience for the first time. I hadn’t even heard of it until my boyfriend suggested it for a date, and it turned out to be such a fun experience. However, he forgot to mention one important detail, I should’ve been prepared to fend off a swarm of mosquitos!

If you still don’t know what I’m talking about, a drive-in theater is a place outdoors with a giant screen where you can watch movies from the comfort of your car while enjoying the retro vibe and beauty of the stars. Many people also bring folding chairs to set up next to their cars, making it a perfect way to enjoy both the film and the outdoor atmosphere. I definitely recommend to bring some bug spray!

The 88 Drive-In Theatre is located in Commerce City and it is the last remaining original drive-in in the Denver metro area serving the community since 1972. Their friendly staff is always available to serve you all the delicious snacks you want in their Snackbar. They usually offer 2 movies every night and the admission for the theater is just $10 dollars per person whether you stay for one or both movies. You should know that their first showtime is always after sunset. Check it out!! You will have a great time.

See you next time, Get ready for the next adventure!
